Default W/ME FoW solo guide with no elite needed !

This post is a guide of how to farm the beach in FoW using a W/Me.
The main reason i am doing this is so that my guildies can learn without having to show them individualy and at the same time i might aswell post it here for others to see too.

Note: U must be Ascended to enter FoW

Here's a map of the route u should take for this farm. { Follow the RED dots }

Skill Bar
3 Sword Attacks
Sprint
Physical Resistance
Watch yourself
Doylak Signet
Healing Signet

Don't bother taking skills that cause bleeding because the spiders will use skills that regenerate. {They only use them wen u cause degen :-/ .. weird}

Attributes

Weapons & Armor
Sword & Shield (Tactics)

I suggest that u buy 2 extra armor peices to put superior runes on so that u only have the -hp when u rly need the runes

Here's what i use.

Creatures

Here's a list of creatures that u will come across and what to do wen near them.

Shadow Creatures

Dryders

Snarlings

Skales

Spiders

Shadow Creatures
You will find these at the begining of your run. Do not fight them just run past them and aggro the least u can. As you enter the beach they shouldn't a problem anymore.

Dryders
These don't require any defence skills but u gotta keep healing urself frequently. When u come across these in the cave u must lure them so that the spiders dont spawn as ur fighting it. Anybow apart from the shortbow should work just fine.

Snarlings
You are going to have to use ur defensive skills against these and make sure ur far away from the skales wen attacking them. Otherwise due to doylak signet as soon as a skale is agroed, ur screwed

Skales
These creatures are extremely hard because of the massive degen which is deadly vs this build because armor cant block out degen. So if u see these don't be a hero but run / avoid them.

Spiders
These are what you are mainly going to be farming. They poison but dont bother taking purge conditions or anything coz its not gona work out, this build works just fine
This is what it will look like when u are farming spiders.

It is important to keep healing.. to be on the safe side dont let ur hp go lower than 50 - 60%

Why do should u do all of this ?
For these drops.

Small Tips
- When fighting spiders try and fight the ones that are singled out or in a group of less than 3
- Inside the cave there are some spots wer the spiders cant reach. So if u quickly need to get away and ur surrounded by spiders, try and do this.

Very Important Short Notes
- Dont speak to Rastigan The Eternal {The ghost at the start}
- Dont fight skales
- Dont fight shadow creatures
- And for gods sakes dont go AFK !! this is what happens if u do so.

Dont worry ppl hes not a noob he just died for the scrn shot

Hope you enjoy farming there. After every run u should get approx. 10 - 15k so if u manage then i can garantee u would like it

Instead of not having an elite, put Hundred blades in there, it'll speed things up.

10-15k a run!?!?!, a lucky run maybe.... but Gj on the guide

Its true, you don't need an elite, but it helps if you have an elite sword skill like hundred blades or dragon slash to speed things up. On my warrior, i run the same build only using axes, so I bring cleave, as I try to shy away from eviscerate because the conditions are counter-productive against the spiders, as they use Melandru's Resiliance.

lol, there is a 98 pages long guide on the forums about spider solo with 3/4 working builds in it
it's a nice guide, but a little outdated

only spiderfarming build that actualy needs an elite, is the one that uses Healing Hands, and its getting to the point where healing hands isnt even needed anymore, so basicly, none of the spider farming builds actualy need an elite

Cleave, Executioner's Strike, Penetrating Blow, Penetrating Chop, Sprint, Physical Resistance, "Watch Yourself!", Healing Signet.

FOUR attacks, still no elite required!

Here's a note: talking to rastigan does absolutely nothing unless you kill the very first group which consists of an abyssal and 2 rangers at the front of the tower of courage.

Now, aggroing the shadow army with rastigan in your "aggro bubble" is asking to get him killed.

I will happily provide proof to confirm that talking to rastigan b4 clearing gets him killed is a GW Myth.

I always grab quest as soon as I enter the FoW with my necro, so I dont have to talk to him when he gets to the door of the tower.

Well, I've been gone for a while, and now I'm back. Just 1 really glaring thing in your build-

Physical Resistance is Inspiration, not Illusion; the two points that you have for it won't help you very much if you're just using PR to get +hp -dmg from a stance shield.

My suggestion: Dump PR entirely and remove 1 point from either your tactics or swordsmanship in favor of dumping them in Domination and bringing Hex Breaker. This will help you a little vs. those skales (in survival terms) and is an easily maintainable stance to boot. The only downside is that it ends once you're the target of a hex and must be re-applied. If you don't choose to make use of Hex Breaker, put the suggessted points instead into Inspiration and make more use out of Physical Resistance.

Regards- Blade

still trying to figure out why a sup tactics rune. Only tactic skill I see is heal signet, and it's a lot faster with an elite.

I meant the axe build posted above that claims to have no elite =P, disregard me.

Btw, as clarification the spiders use Melandru's Resilience, which only activates when they have a condition.

Thanks for ur post guys and about the attribute mistake.. i just quickly set it up for the screen shot.. so my bad :P.. and i know an elite is faster but lots of ppl get put off having to go and capture an elite wen all u have to do is visit the skill person.. its most probably outdated i know but i used to use this build ages ago and i had stopped playing gw for a while and my guildies needed some help from me.. for the comment about dolyak not being needed wen using physical and watch urself.. u can take the healing slightly easier wen u use dolyak.. The build was originaly created by me and a friend.. it took us a while to get the right skills.. but we later searched for a build and found a very similar one so we just changed 1 skill.. we used to use shields up instead of ps.. i get 2 - 3 shards per run.. (around 9k , and about 3k of other stuff).. i remember getting 6 shards per run.. once apon a time..

EDIT: The 2 point for ps are there coz they are extra points.. besides ps will last longer with them about 8sec if i remember right

you take no dmg when PR and ''Watch Yourself'' are up anyways, the healing is only needed for poison
